I have had a wonderful week off, spending time relaxing with with my husband and kids!

I did work a little on Tuesday.  I had the pleasure of assisting our client, Kristy, with her bridal portrait shoot.  We got to Norfolk Botanical Garden early to get her dressed.  We brought a sheet to keep the dress and bare feet off the floor, and allowed lots of time to lace the dress!  Keith Cephus earns his money AND makes you work for those great shots!  He had Kristy jumping, twirling, and running through fields - she is a great sport!  She gave permission to preview the shots.... but I am too nervous.  Take my word for it - she is BEAUTIFUL!  Helga Macko made the amazing bouquet - of Phaelenopsis, Mokara, and Cymbidium orchids - so yummy.  The wedding is in two weeks so I'll show you then.  It is our first event at Half Moone Cruise Terminal and it is going to be hot, Hot, HOT!

I went to the Erykah Badu and the Roots concert on Friday night with my son.  It was awesome and nostalgic.  I was happy for this (or any) shared interest!

My husband and I took our daughter to a birthday party Saturday morning at the World of Wonders (WOW) garden at Norfolk Botanical Garden.  This is a fun and wonderful spot with all kinds of things to see and do.  The fountains - that kids can run through - are a highlight!

We attended a "House Concert" on Saturday night.  The featured entertainment was Big Wide Grin who showcased a blend of original and classic folk inspired music played on guitar.

These acoustic concerts, hosted by individuals, have a coffee house feel and benefit Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO).

"Tidewater Arts Outreach brings music and arts to  adult day programs, convalescent homes, hospitals, centers for individuals with disabilities, rehabilitation centers,  family homeless shelters, and other homes, facilities and institutions.  These performances, programs and activities promote human interaction, happiness and healing for people who have limited access to the arts, due to health, economic or social circumstances."

We are off to the Chesapeake Jubilee!  I will be back in the office refreshed and ready to serve you on Monday.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
