Emily's Bat Mitzvah: Shopping Theme
When I met with Emily and her family earlier this year she had determined that her theme would be shopping. No problem! She also handed me a box covered with polka dots, and several shopping bags from some of her favorite stores. From that moment I had a complete vision of the design for her event. Emily's - a chic boutique with mannequins in store window vignettes, flowers spilling out of bags and boxes, custom credit cards, etc. Of course things happen like having to move the food into a different room. What to do ... I know, how about a food court, complete with trays and everything! Emily's mom, Janet, suggested that we name each station after a member of their family. It was a great idea that everyone loved! Here's what I came up with:

This was a really great event. There were so many elements - a cupcake tree, a root beer float station that we covered with a large polka dot umbrella, a cookie cart, and in addition to putting the "boutique" name in lights we also put Emily's name in flowers at the entrance to the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club where the event took place. Emily was thrilled and my entire team was excited to see this one come together. We also provided the linens, chargers and arrangements for the Shabbat dinner, and floral garlands for the Bimah.
